What is a HIP?

A Home Information Pack (HIP) brings together a series of documents which are legally required for the sale of a property: an energy performance certificate (epc); sale statement; standard searches; evidence of title (proof that you own the property you are selling and have the right to sell the property); and other documents if your property is leasehold, commonhold or a new build.
In addition, the HIP may include optional (‘authorised’) documents: a home condition report; legal summary; home use/contents forms…and other information you may wish to include.
Armed with a full Home Information Pack, your sale should run smoothly: a long term investment in terms of reducing the cost, stress and time of your sale.
